How WeCare tlc is providing affordable and easy access to healthcare for the Huntsville community Why WeCare tlc | November 11, 2020 Share WeCare tlc profile: Christopher Honea, Director of Clinical Operations In November, we honor veterans and this year WeCare tlc would like to highlight an important member of our team who has been making big changes in people’s lives through his lifetime of military service and time spent caring for the Huntsville community. This month, Christopher Honea has rejoined the WeCare tlc team after his most recent tour of duty for where he served as the Deputy Commander Nursing at the 411th Hospital Center. For over 30 years, Chris has been actively serving in the military beginning first in the U.S. Army Reserve then transferring to the Alabama National Guard and subsequently commissioned in the U.S. Army Reserve as an Army Nurse Corp. Officer. Chris has been named the Director of Clinical Operations at WeCare tlc. In this role, he will serve as the liaison between the Chief of Clinical Services and the clinical staff at each health and wellness center. Chris will be an excellent resource to the entire team for clinical and operational support. Prior to leaving for his most recent tour, Chris was the Regional Nurse Manager at WeCare tlc’s Huntsville clinic in Alabama. In this area, there aren’t many freestanding healthcare clinics available for the community. This means prices tend to be higher and waits times are longer. WeCare tlc’s Huntsville clinic breaks this mold with its commitment to easy, affordable primary healthcare access and personalized care. “I’ll be honest – we all tend to dread doctor appointments. Typically, they take up a lot of time waiting and can be inconvenient to our schedules,” said Chris. “However, at WeCare tlc, we take great pride in serving our patients and always respect their time. Our patients are amazed we provide quick, easy access to fundamental primary care services at affordable rates and never waste their time.” The city of Huntsville holds a special place in Chris’ heart – not only is he a native of this area, but outside of his military service, Chris has called this region his home for all of his life. He raised his family here, is active in his church and spent time working in the local hospitals’ emergency rooms. If there’s anyone who understands this community’s and other small communities’ needs, it’s Chris Honea. In addition to his years of civilian healthcare experience, Chris has gained a lot of knowledge throughout his military service. One thing he has picked up is the importance of personalized care and ease to access. “Through my exposure to the VA and other organizations, I’ve discovered how important it is to form personal connections with patients and to provide them convenient access to healthcare services. These key concepts are always on my mind as I care for my patients,” said Chris. “At WeCare tlc, we’re working diligently to change the way healthcare is delivered across the U.S. We have centers all over the country in cities like Huntsville that are making whole communities healthier.” Along with the Huntsville clinic in Alabama, WeCare tlc is proud to serve 54 health and wellness centers across the United States. The company believes quality primary care is the key to a healthy life and each of its centers adhere to Bridges of Excellence Standards, the strictest standards in the industry. WeCare tlc is heavily involved in each of the communities it serves and hires knowledgeable locals like Christopher Honea to ensure each member is receiving top-notch care. Previous blog Next blog
