WeCare tlc profile: Kelly Lundquist, Lead RN at Central Noble Clinic

When Kelly Lundquist was a little girl attending elementary school in Indiana, she already knew exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up – a nurse who could take care of others and help them feel their best. Lundquist worked hard and continued developing this passion for caring for people.

Flash forward to 2021 and Lundquist is living her dream as the Lead RN at WeCare tlc’s Central Noble Clinic, right in her hometown of Albion. For over 30 years, she has been doing her best to keep her family, friends and neighbors in the community safe and well. Lundquist began her career at Parkview Hospital and eventually went on to be an office nurse for a local family practice for 16 years.

In 2008, Lundquist was excited for a big change – she became a PRN RN at Central Noble Clinic and a couple years later was promoted to Lead RN. Lundquist was intrigued by WeCare tlc’s unique, holistic approach to primary care – the first clinic with this concept in the community. In just one visit, patients could see their practitioner, have labs drawn and fill their prescription. Plus, rather than wait weeks for an appointment, patients can often be seen the very same day with little to no waiting. This was a complete 180 from Lundquist’s experience with traditional practices.

“At WeCare tlc, we’re on a mission to change the way healthcare is delivered across the U.S. and I believe our ability to provide complete care and easy accessibility is making that possible,” said Lundquist. “I’m extremely proud of the ‘team approach’ my associates and I take to offer the best care for our patients. We’re a small but mighty team who work collaboratively to decrease wait times, provide impeccable service and, most importantly, keep our patients well.”

The WeCare tlc team is always looking for ways to go the extra mile for their patients.

Lundquist shared, “Recently, one of our patients wasn’t feeling well and received a Covid test. It came back negative, but after we followed up to make sure he was feeling better, we discovered there had been no improvement. We had a conversation with him and discovered something in his system might have caused a false negative. He was able to get the correct diagnosis and seek treatment. It’s this personal connection with patients that allows us to provide proper care.”

One of the groups WeCare tlc’s clinic serves is Noble County teachers. To bring the story full circle, Lundquist’s daughter Paige is a 1^st grade teacher at Central Noble Primary. Lundquist is proud to be able to support these important community members working tirelessly to teach the next generation of doctors, nurses, scientists, engineers and educators.

Lundquist has been a member of the Central Noble community for her whole life and knows the best way to care for her fellow neighbors. She’s been happily married to her sweetheart Mark for almost 30 years and mom to Paige and Conner, a soon-to-be construction engineer. Her granddaughter Blaire will soon continue the family tradition of attending Central Noble Primary and when she does, Lundquist can’t wait to volunteer.
