WeCare tlc welcomes Akilah Kelly as Clinical Director

Kelly brings over 15 years of experience in nursing and leadership

WeCare tlc, a leader in workplace health centers, announces Akilah Kelly as its new Clinical Director.

Akilah brings over 15 years of healthcare experience. She began her career in advanced women’s health, specializing in high-risk obstetrics, oncology, and urogynecology. After moving to Florida in 2011, she shifted into administrative nursing and swiftly advanced into leadership positions, including clinical coordinator, regional nurse manager, and director of quality.

She will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care and services across our clinics. In this position, the Clinical Director will support clinical operations alongside Kristy Bowman, our Chief of Clinical Services and Operations, ensuring that our teams provide the highest standard of patient care while overseeing the implementation of best practices, compliance with healthcare regulations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Akilah will focus on both clinical excellence and operational efficiency and help streamline processes, improve patient outcomes, and ensure that our clients receive personalized, effective, and compassionate care.

Akilah’s leadership style is rooted in empowerment. She believes that a motivated and supported team is the key to delivering outstanding patient care. Throughout her career, Akilah has demonstrated a unique ability to turn challenges into opportunities, whether through completing numerous AAAHC audits or implementing initiatives that have significantly improved patient outcomes. Her focus on continuous improvement and her forward-thinking approach to healthcare operations have made her a standout in the field.

In addition to her leadership role, Akilah is pursuing a master’s degree in nursing with a focus on mental health. She’s passionate about bringing fresh perspectives to healthcare, particularly mental health care, and is dedicated to helping WeCare tlc continue its mission of transforming healthcare delivery.
